The Beta Test Phase
The third phase of our Delivery Excellence Framework is the Beta Test phase, which can be applied to any initiative across people, Processes, Systems, and Data, and in this case home improvements.
Don't add to these Failure Statistics
"The failure of IT initiatives costs the U.S. economy alone between $50 and $150 billion annually" - Harvard Business Review.
To learn more about the Delivery Excellence Framework and how it can help save you from contributing to these alarming statistics, join one of our upcoming Delivery Excellence webinars. They are free and may well be the best hour you invest in your IT project or career journey.

Become a Digital Excellence Champion
The successful delivery of Digital projects doesn't just happen by chance. It requires many practitioner working in concert, including Project Managers, Product Owners, and Change Managers as well as Business Analysts, Experience Engineers, and Solution Architects, quite apart from the technical specialists aligned to the solution. Add to this other stakeholders such as Executive Sponsor, Finance Partner, and Business SMEs, as well as external customers, service providers, and vendors, and the inevitable question arises - who actually 'owns' overall delivery responsibility?
It's Never Just An IT Issue.
Properly solving the vast majority of business problems requires a thorough review and understanding of the People, Processes, Systems, and Data domains across the client business and how they are contributing to the problem and how they will benefit from the solution. Approaching any opportunity or prospect purely through the lens of technology is guaranteed to compromise the ultimate success of the project and benefit derived by the client.
Working across People Processes Systems, and Data.
No matter how simple or obvious they may seem, business problems (issues, pains, inefficiencies, profitability, etc) are rarely singular in the domain responsible.
Merry Christmas for 2023
As most of us start to wind down for a well earned summer break I've been reflecting on 2023 and wanted to share my insights from the year past including some significant achievements realised.
Sometime the simplest solutions have the biggest impact.
Transfit, in conjunction with our technology partner Seera, recently deployed an impressive smartphone based ID card solution, to assist manage site access for a client's large national workforce.
Timing is everything.
Hopefully this is a timely reminder to my fellow entrepreneurs everywhere that often timing and sheer luck has as much to do with success as your best laid plans, so keep going.
My Journey to Seera (part 3)
I left part two of this article describing how the COVID-19 pandemic not only interrupted my pursuit of a standardised talent management solution, but also bought my Transfit business to a screeching halt. Then came Seera...
My Journey to Seera (part 2)
In part one of this article, I shared some of the talent management challenges I faced as CEO of Readify, as we grew and diversified. So, with those experiences under my belt, when I started Transfit, targeting a significantly more diverse consulting workforce, I was determined to implement a standardised skills measurement solution as part of our workforce alignment strategy.
My Journey to Seera (Part 1)
Thank you for your well wishes after my recent announcement of being appointed CEO at Seera, an awesome Australian software (SaaS) business. On reflection, my journey to Seera feels like it has been in the making, and almost inevitable, for nearly 20 years, so I thought I would share some insights from that journey.

An Inconvenient Truth is now the Undeniable Reality.
In 2006 Al Gore produced the Academy award-winning documentary called βAn Inconvenient Truthβ, which, based on scientific facts and research, graphically forecast the effects of human-made climate change. It is now an undeniable reality that, as predicted in that movie, natural disasters globally are occurring more frequently and with more devastating effects than ever before, and that political action is now critically urgent.
Why don't we simply "do better with what we have."
After working with a large FMCG organisation this year, watching them trying to wrestle hundreds of projects into order, I again questioned why companies so regularly overestimate what they can achieve with their finite resources. It doesnβt make sense, so why do so many organisations make the same mistake?
All Agile Projects Fail.
Agile is often trumpeted as the magic cure to all IT ills, but is it really? At our recent Night of Excellence event, there was some very insightful discussion on this topic which I share with you β as I walk that fine line between being inclusive and divisive!
Good customer service starts with goodwill, not a tag line
Without goodwill, particularly when your own systems, policies, or culture are to blame, means all your marketing gloss about customer service is nothing more than fairy floss - completely without substance. Fly better? How about fly fair first.
Digital Excellence Framework: A blueprint for IT Transformation Success
In my last post I asked the question "What does Digital Excellence mean to you?" Recognising this question may have been somewhat ambiguous, let me provide some additional context.
